Container Ship

A highly detailed replica of a commercial container ship, nearly 1.1 metres long, printed in PETG in modular hull sections and painted for exhibition.

  1. 01

    What was asked

A maritime exhibition-grade display: a multi-section hull with waterline paneling, a detailed bridge with radar masts, bow deck fittings and a fully loaded cargo bay.

  2. 02

    How it was made

Modelled in 3D over a week, printed by FDM in PETG in modular hull sections over 26 hours, then assembled, its joints aligned and its seams sealed.

  3. 03

    What was handed over

A realistic weathered hull, painted by hand, carrying vibrant multi-coloured containers with their own graphics, under a protective top coat.

3D Engineering DNA

An artistic and engineering prototype: a classic double helix built of pipes, columns, rungs and intermeshing gears, 195 mm tall with its solid circular base.

  1. 01

    What was asked

A conceptual engineering display and desktop sculpture: the biological double helix joined with industrial engineering — interwoven pipes, support columns, structural rungs and gears of many sizes meshing through the whole helix.

  2. 02

    How it was made

Modelled in 3D over 18 hours and made by a hybrid process: the intricate DNA spire printed in grey photopolymer resin (SLA / MSLA) in 9 hours, the base by FDM in dark PETG in one; then its supports removed, the resin washed and cured under UV, and its surface finished.

  3. 03

    What was handed over

Fine geometric detail on a stable foundation that carries the helix's overhangs and tall profile, in a two-tone finish: a grey metallic and matte structure on a dark base.

Football Trophy

A custom sports award prototype: a classic paneled football held in a pair of textured goalkeeper gloves on a sweeping base, printed in PETG on four printers at once and finished in high-gloss gold.

  1. 01

    What was asked

A custom sports award: the football held securely in textured goalkeeper gloves, on a sweeping, dynamic base with embossed athletic graphics and accent lining.

  2. 02

    How it was made

Modelled in 3D over two days as a multi-part model engineered for parallel manufacturing: printed in PETG across four printers, about five hours each, for durability, structural integrity and smooth layer bonding; then its seams filled, sanded, painted by hand in gold, black and silver, and sealed in a high-gloss clear coat.

  3. 03

    What was handed over

A premium, polished trophy: high-gloss metallic gold with dark contrast paneling.

Hand of Justice

A one-metre wall-mounted emblem: a hand reaching out of the map of Qatar, in maroon and white, to hold a golden scale of justice.

  1. 01

    What was asked

A sculptural emblem that joins national symbolism and legal imagery: the silhouette of the map of Qatar behind, and a hand held out in front with the scale of justice.

  2. 02

    How it was made

Modelled in 3D over a day and a half, and printed by FDM in PETG on three printers at once, about twelve hours each, in parts strong enough and free of warping across its full 100 cm; then its joints assembled, its seams smoothed, painted in maroon, white and metallic gold, and sealed in a protective coat.

  3. 03

    What was handed over

A vibrant maroon and white national backdrop behind a scale in high-contrast metallic gold, with hanging pans, metallic chains and an engraved centre crossbar: an executive display finish.

Sewer network model

A six-metre layout model of a sewer network: its chambers, pipework and valves, and the equipment that watches over them, laid out in gravel under glass, the road above and the pipes beneath cut open.

  1. 01

    What was asked

A detailed scale model of the whole system as it is arranged — its enclosure, process areas, tanks, pipework, valves, fittings and equipment — to see, review and present it in three dimensions.

  2. 02

    How it was made

Its components divided across 32 machines and printed by FDM and SLA in PETG, ABS and polycarbonate, with parts cut by CNC: 130 hours on the printers in all. Then the parts were finished and assembled into the six-by-three-metre layout.

  3. 03

    What was handed over

One clear picture of the network, from the road on top to the pipes beneath it, in a model visitors walk round.
