Best 3D printing company in Qatar: how to choose

What to check when choosing a 3D printing company in Qatar: design, machines, materials for the heat, finishing, real work, quality and speed.

Rows of 3D printers on shelves in the print farm

The best 3D printing company in Qatar is the one that can make your piece the way you need it: designed right, printed in a material that survives the heat, finished well and ready on your date. Here is what to check before you choose. We are a 3D printing studio in Doha ourselves, so our own answer follows each point, for you to hold against anyone's.

Do they design, or only print?

Most pieces start as an idea, not a file. A company that models in 3D can take a sketch, a photo or a few sentences and turn it into a design you agree before anything is printed. At Innovex the design is drawn in the studio and agreed with you first: the football trophy was modelled in 3D over two days before its first layer was printed.

Their own machines, and the right technology

Ask whether the printing is done on the company's own machines, and with which technologies: FDM for strong parts, resin for fine detail, large-format printers for the biggest pieces. Innovex prints on its own farm of about 100 printers in Doha, FDM and resin, with large-format machines among them.

Materials that survive a Qatar summer

A piece left in a car or by a window in Doha meets heat that softens the most common printing plastic. Ask which material they suggest and why: the answer should depend on where the piece will live. Our materials guide explains the choice, from PLA and PETG to polycarbonate and carbon-fibre composites.

Finishing under the same roof

Off the printer, a piece shows its layers. What makes it look finished is the work after: filling, sanding, primer and paint by hand. Innovex has its own finishing hall in the studio, so a piece is printed and finished under one roof.

Real work you can see

Ask to see pieces the company has made, not renders of pieces it has not. Every piece in our portfolio is a real project, with what was asked, how it was made and the hours it took, and most of them turn in 3D on their own page.

Pieces bigger than a printer

If your piece is large, ask how it will be made: in sections, joined so that the seams disappear. The largest piece in our portfolio is a six-metre layout model, printed on 32 machines.

A quality system, and someone who signs off

Certificates are not everything, but they show that a company works to written standards. Innovex holds ISO 9001 for quality management, with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO/IEC 20000-1, and its QA/QC team signs off every project's final status. The certificates are listed in our company profile.

A clear answer, quickly

A good company tells you early what it takes, what it costs and how long it runs. Every enquiry to Innovex is answered the same working day, and every quote includes its timeline.

What its clients say

Read what clients say about the company on Google, and ask whether it has made something like your piece. A company that is proud of its work will show it to you.

Questions to ask any 3D printing company

  • Can you design it from my sketch or photo, and will I approve the design first?
  • Which technology and which material will you use, and why?
  • Are the printing and the finishing done on your own premises?
  • Can I see pieces you have made that are like mine?
  • What does the quote include, and when will it be ready?

To ask us, send your idea on WhatsApp or through the contact page, or visit the studio in Birkat Al Awamer, Doha, from Sunday to Thursday, 08:00 to 18:00.
